SUNING: Sparkling with AES 2007


August, Shenzhen, 2007 Asia Electronics Show is opened in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. Famous consumer electronics retailers like Circuit City, DSG and buyers from third world like India, west Asia and Africa also gathered here. SUNING also showed great interest for this trade show.

Person in charge of DITM said that SUNING is one of the leading retailers in China household appliance retailing industry and one of “Major Twenty Large Scale Commercial Enterprise Group”. The purpose of inviting it to take part in AES is to make more manufacturers and distributors can broad their channels and reach new business success through SUNING-the large logistics service platform.

In early 1990s, SUNING was founded on Ninghai Road, Nanjing and it is specially engaged in selling air conditioners. In 1993, the famous “air conditioner battle” was broke out in Nanjing. With the three major advantages of “Large Scale, Manufacturer Cooperation, Professional Service”, SUNING won the competition with annual sales amount of RMB 300,000,000, increased by 187% compared the last year. In 1994, SUNING won the No.1 of China air conditioner sales with annual sales amount of RMB 560,000,000 and since then SUNING has been kept the No.1 position for 16 consecutive years. In the year of 1994, SUNING entered air conditioner wholesale business. By taking Nanjing as headquarter, it established a national-wide wholesale network with more than 4,000 branches. The sales amount grows up from three hundred million yuan in 1993 to 1.5 billion yuan in 1996 (up 400%).

SUNING holds the principle of “Professional Self-operation”. 90% of 80,000 staffs are in the service front. On the basis of store service, SUNING established logistics delivery center, after-sale service center and customer service center. Logistics delivery also consists of long-distance delivery, short-distance delivery and retailing delivery. Current maximum delivery capacity is 500,000/day and the goods can be sent to user end in 12 hours. After-sale service also has the comprehensive after-sale and repair service ability for over 100 brands household appliances including color TV, refrigerator, washing machine, small home appliance, communications, IT products etc. Over 10,000 professional repairing engineers, maximum 200,000 sets/day of installation ability, maximum 200,000 sets/day of repairing ability, 24 hours service, one national service hotline and over forty million detailed customer information constitutes a complete after-sale and repair service system.
